New Leaf has officially made it through its first quarter of the school year! We have welcomed new students, new staff, and even a new school leader: Mrs. Angel Virden. She has successfully managed to maintain the culture of New Leaf, while introducing additional opportunities for building community among students, family and staff.
Mrs. Virden has organized Family outings including: Icemen Hockey game, Timucuan Preserve, and many more to come. Our New Leaf students have had the opportunity to experience animal therapy with a surprise visit from Canines for Christ. Even a New Leaf parent has shown support by providing educational sessions about different types of serpents. It is because of the collective support of New Leaf staff, students, and families that we are able to provide such enriching experiences. As a collective, we are New Leaf Family.
New Leaf’s transition would not have been possible without the ongoing support of New Leaf’s founder, Ronda McDonald. Our New Leaf family is so grateful for the foundation that she has crafted and we looking forward to continuing the legacy. We will continue to provide a safe learning space for our students to practice bravery, kindness, fairness, and honesty.
